Industry veteran Greg Mount, former CEO of Red Lion Hotels, has launched Victory Hotel Partners (VHP) in Denver, Colorado, by taking a majority stake in Hay Creek Hotels and via a joint venture with Equis Hotels to provide consulting services focused on branded midscale and upscale hotel assets.
Hay Creek Hotels provides an operating and investment platform with a focus on independent and boutique hotels in high barriers to entry and drive-in regional destination markets. The 15- year-old venture founded in Exeter, New Hampshire, already has 23 hotels, 18 restaurants, four spas and two golf course. It will continue to be led by Founder Norman MacLeod, while VHP partner Gary Sims will serve as COO.
Victory Hospitality is the name of entity created to work with Equis Hotels to provide services for all aspects of hotel operations, management, receivership, business development, acquisitions, project management and repositioning of assets.
[…] I couldn’t think of a more appropriate time to help position Victory Hotel Partners as the White Knight to troubled and distressed owners, operators and lenders to offer hope and possibilities.
“I was cautiously optimistic about embarking on this endeavor amid the chaos and uncertainty our world is facing coming out of this pandemic, especially in the travel and hospitality sector,” Mount said as VHP was announced. “However, I couldn’t think of a more appropriate time to help position Victory Hotel Partners as the White Knight to troubled and distressed owners, operators and lenders to offer hope and possibilities.”
